BrokerConnect ("we", "us", "our") is a mortgage broker introducer platform operated at brokerconnect.co.uk. We connect mortgage introducers with their broker partners to manage referrals, leads, and commissions.

When you use BrokerConnect, we may collect:

- Profile information: phone number, company name, profile photo
- Lead and referral data: client names, contact details, and mortgage enquiry information you submit through the platform
- Usage data: log data, device type, IP address, and app activity for security and performance purposes
- Push notification tokens: to deliver notifications about your leads and commissions
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the BrokerConnect platform and mobile app
- Send you notifications about your referrals, leads, and commissions
- Authenticate your identity and secure your account (including Face ID / biometric login)
- Communicate with you about your account and provide support
- Improve the platform and diagnose technical issues
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (UK GDPR)
We process your personal data under the following legal bases:
- Contract: processing is necessary to provide the services you have signed up for
- Legitimate interests: for security monitoring, fraud prevention, and platform improvement
- Consent: for push notifications, which you can withdraw at any time in your device settings
5. Data Sharing
Lead and referral data you submit is shared with the mortgage broker firm you are connected to within the platform. This is core to the service.
We use the following third-party services which may process your data:
- Expo (push notifications): notification tokens are stored via Expo's push notification service
- Our VPS hosting provider: data is stored on servers within the UK/EU
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to or restrict certain processing
